Sharjah 24: Aisha Obaid Ghabish, Director of Events and Activities Department at the Sharjah Institute for Heritage, stated that the "Al Qaffal Season" event sheds light on the lives of seafarers in the past, with the participation of several maritime experts, including Nasser Hassan Al Kaas, Jumaa Bin Thalith, and Dr. Adi Kasadi, who will discuss diving trips and the tools used.
Ghabish added, in statements to "Sharjah 24," that the event is accompanied by a diverse marine exhibition, in which the Bin Majid Society for Folk Arts participates. The exhibition showcases a variety of seashells, tools used by divers during their journeys, and several ship instruments, such as the astrolabe. She explained that the "Al Qaffal Season" is the season when divers return from the sea after their arduous diving journeys. Families and women line the shore to welcome their husbands, making it a joyful season for the people of the sea in the past.
