The Platform brings together a select group of talented Emirati designers from across the UAE, presenting dazzling collections of gold and diamond jewellery. Launched by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), the initiative empowers national talent and strengthens the global presence of Emirati designers in the jewellery and watchmaking industry.
This year, the "Emirati Goldsmiths" Platform recorded 530 registered members, marking a 35 percent increase from last year. The growth highlights its appeal and expanding role in supporting young Emirati talent, providing valuable exposure at leading local and international exhibitions.
Emirati designers displayed a rich portfolio of jewellery collections admired for their innovation, originality, and cultural depth. The exhibits ranged from diamond-studded gold and heritage-inspired pieces to modern collections appealing to diverse audiences. Special attention was given to bridal jewellery and designs inspired by cultural symbols such as the hayoul and mandous.
Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of SCCI, stressed the Chamber’s commitment to supporting entrepreneurship and SMEs through this initiative, enhancing Emiratis’ contributions to the national economy, particularly in the gold and jewellery sector.
Mona Al Suwaidi, Director of the Executive Office of the SCCI Chairman, emphasized the platform’s role in advancing Emirati designers through training, professional qualification, and participation in major trade events. Several members have recently obtained accredited training certificates in traditional gold craftsmanship.
Emirati designers presented diverse and innovative collections at the exhibition. Fatima Al Bannai showcased jewellery pieces that blended Emirati heritage with contemporary design, using gold and natural pearls to reflect both authenticity and modernity. Mohammed Khamis introduced exclusive bridal collections, including diamond-crafted engagement suites and heritage-inspired wedding bands reimagined with a modern touch. Meanwhile, Shaima Al Tunaiji unveiled three unique designs—Al Hayool, Qimam, and Al Mandoos—all crafted in gold with pearls sourced from Ras Al Khaimah farms, symbolising deep-rooted heritage, ambition, and cultural legacy. Together, their creations highlighted the richness of Emirati craftsmanship and its evolving role in global jewellery design.
The exhibition is supported by Al Romaizan Gold and Jewellery (Diamond Sponsor) and Salem Al Shueibi Jewellery (Platinum Sponsor). It remains open on Saturday and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m.
