This announcement came during a press conference held in the conference hall at the hospital's headquarters.
The conference was attended by Dr Abdulaziz bin Butti Al Muhairi, Chairman of the Sharjah Health Authority and Chairman of the Hospital's Board of Trustees; Khalid Essa Al Midfa, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Club Board of Directors; members of the investment company; and the hospital's CEO.
Based on the renewed sponsorship, the University Hospital logo will be featured on the club's first football team jerseys for the 2025-2026 sports season. The hospital will also continue to provide healthcare and specialised medical services to the club's athletes.
During the press conference, Engineer Ibrahim Mohammed Al Jarwan said that sports and health are two sides of the same coin; one is inseparable from the other. The club believes that integrated healthcare is the foundation for any athlete's success. An athlete's success is not based solely on training and effort, but also requires integrated healthcare that protects and supports them. This is what partners at the University Hospital Sharjah have provided. They have been with the club every step of the way.
Al Jarwan continued by saying that renewing this contract today means that both sides are continuing together on the same path: the path of success, excellence, and community service. It is a path that puts people first, as the true investment is investing in their health and energies.
