English player Marcus Rashford proved his worth, leading Barcelona to victory with two goals scored in the 58th and 67th minutes, under the watchful eye of national team coach Thomas Tuchel. Anthony Gordon reduced the deficit for Newcastle in the 90th minute.
Rashford, 27, was seeking his first official goal with the Catalan giant after four matches in the league, having previously scored for England against Serbia during this period.
Barcelona continued their strong start to the season, achieving three wins and one draw in the league, while Newcastle's inconsistent results persisted following the loss of their star striker Alexander Isak to Liverpool, managing only one win in five matches.
