Steven Spielberg, now 78, reflected on the intense challenges he faced while making the film. He revealed that every piece in the exhibition tells a unique behind-the-scenes story. Recalling the difficult production, Spielberg said: "Everyone kept telling me: ‘You’ll never get hired again — the film is over budget, behind schedule, and no one can trust you anymore.’”
Despite those doubts, Jaws became a huge success in theatres and went on to win three Academy Awards. Spielberg noted how the film's reception not only saved his career but also reshaped blockbuster filmmaking.
The exhibition, opening Sunday and continuing until July 2026, includes a large section dedicated to displaying the film’s prestigious awards and honoring its enduring legacy in cinema history.
