UAE dispatches search and rescue team to Afghanistan

Sharjah 24 – WAM: Under the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE has urgently dispatched an Emirati search and rescue team to support operations in eastern Afghanistan following a devastating earthquake.

Multi-agency humanitarian response

The response includes personnel from the Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority, the National Guard, and the Joint Operations Command, all working to assist those affected by the disaster.

Delivery of urgent relief supplies

In addition to the rescue team, the UAE sent critical humanitarian aid, including food, medical supplies, and tents, aimed at supporting injured individuals and families impacted by the quake.
