Sharjah 24 – WAM: Foreign ministers from 24 countries—including members of the EU, the UK, Japan, Canada, and Australia—issued a joint statement expressing alarm at the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, which they described as reaching "unimaginable levels". They warned that famine is unfolding before the world's eyes and called for urgent action to reverse starvation. The ministers urged Israel to allow unimpeded access for international aid convoys and remove barriers hindering relief efforts.

UN issues “worst-case scenario” warning

The United Nations’ Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) has warned that Gaza is nearing a “worst-case scenario famine.” The agency cited escalating starvation, malnutrition, and disease as critical issues, emphasising that without immediate intervention, widespread deaths could follow. Donors and international partners continue to press for increased aid amid worsening conditions.
