Sharjah 24: In a dynamic and engaging start, Dibba Al Hisn Sports and Cultural Club launched the "I Am the Future" week, part of the "Sharjah Summer Sports – Our Holiday is Different" programme, supported by the Sharjah Sports Council. The event kicked off with an awareness workshop held in collaboration with Sharjah Police.

Focus on community policing

Assistant Officer Khalifa Mohammed Tamrouq led an introductory session titled Community Policing and Its Role in Enhancing Neighbourhood Security. The workshop aimed to instil concepts of community safety and highlight the individual’s role in supporting security forces. Participants actively engaged in the session, asking questions and showing strong interest in the subject.

Holistic approach to youth development

The week’s activities reflect Dibba Al-Hisn Club’s commitment to the Sharjah Sports Council’s vision of preparing an aware, creative generation capable of adapting to change. The programme combines awareness, education, training, and application in a safe and stimulating environment that fosters personal growth and national identity.

Artistic and cultural enrichment

As part of the cultural component, Hessa Ali Al Marzouqi from the Sharjah Institute for Heritage (Dibba branch) led a candle colouring workshop, allowing participants to express creativity through hands-on artistic activities in a fun, educational atmosphere.

Sport and practical learning

The Sharjah International Marine Sports Club conducted a four-day training course covering the basics of sea rescue, sailing, and snorkelling. Activities were carried out under expert supervision in a safe setting, blending fun with practical skills.

Tech innovation and AI integration

Dibba Al-Hisn Club also took part in the Sharjah Clubs’ Innovation and AI Competition, hosted at Al Hamriyah Sports and Cultural Club. The club’s entry reflected a clear vision of incorporating artificial intelligence into youth summer programmes, underlining its commitment to future-oriented learning.
