Sharjah begins its Formula 2 campaign in Italy

Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Powerboat Team, representing the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club, will begin its campaign in the first round of the UIM F2 World Championship, on Saturday, in the Italian city of Brindisi. The Union Internationale Motonautique (UIM) organises the two-day event, which includes top international competitors.

2025 season

The 2025 season promises to be one of the most competitive yet, with five rounds scheduled on the official UIM calendar. This increases the level of competition and boosts the stakes for the participating teams.

Sharjah will participate with two boats in this round. One of the most recent additions to the team's fleet is boat number 27, which was totally fabricated in Sharjah. It is powered by a four-stroke engine, indicating a shift towards more efficient and ecological technologies.

Boat number 18 will also compete, powered by a two-stroke engine and noted for its strong performance and significant track record in this racing category. This combination provides the team with greater versatility in terms of racing strategy and technical performance.
