Abdullah bin Zayed meets GCC legislative leaders

Sharjah 24 – WAM: His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, received a delegation of legislative council leaders from Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries in Abu Dhabi. The delegation was led by Saqr Ghobash, Speaker of the Federal National Council, and included Jasem Mohamed AlBudaiwi, GCC Secretary-General.

The delegation featured senior parliamentary figures including Sheikh Dr Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Sheikh (Saudi Arabia), Sheikh Khalid bin Hilal Al Maawali (Oman), Ahmed bin Salman Al-Musallam (Bahrain), and Yousef bin Ali Al Khater (Qatar).

Focus on GCC cooperation

During the meeting, Sheikh Abdullah and the delegation explored ways to strengthen cooperation across key sectors within the GCC framework. Emphasis was placed on supporting unified Gulf efforts and expanding coordination.

Discussion on regional challenges

The talks also covered pressing regional developments, with particular focus on their impact on Middle East peace and security. The leaders reaffirmed the importance of unity and strategic dialogue in addressing shared challenges.
