UAE condemns targeting of Qatar

Sharjah 24 – WAM: The United Arab Emirates has condemned in the strongest terms the targeting of Al Udeid Air Base in the State of Qatar by the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, calling it a flagrant violation of Qatari sovereignty and airspace and a clear breach of international law and the UN Charter.

Rejection of actions undermining security

The UAE expressed its categorical rejection of any aggression that threatens the security and safety of Qatar, stating that such actions undermine regional security and stability.

Full solidarity with Qatar

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) reiterated the UAE’s full solidarity with Qatar and affirmed its unwavering support for all measures Qatar may take to protect its citizens and residents.

Call for de-escalation

The UAE stressed the urgent need to halt military escalation, warning that continued provocations risk destabilising the region and may lead to catastrophic repercussions for international peace and security.

Emphasis on diplomacy

The Ministry called for diplomatic solutions based on good neighbourliness, emphasising that serious dialogue is the only viable path to resolving ongoing crises and preserving peace and stability in the region.
