Sharjah 24 – SPA: For the first time, the General Directorate of Saudi Civil Defense has announced the deployment of the advanced "Falcon" drone, equipped with artificial intelligence (AI), as part of its operational plans for the Hajj season of 1446 AH. This innovation marks a major advancement in integrating smart technology into emergency response efforts during one of the world’s largest annual gatherings.

Cutting-edge capabilities for high-risk environments

The Falcon drone is specially designed for firefighting and rescue operations in high-altitude or difficult-to-access locations. It can operate continuously for up to 12 hours while carrying a payload of approximately 40 kilograms. The drone is fitted with a versatile multi-purpose firefighting system, along with built-in rescue, control, and safety technologies. It features thermal cameras and can transmit live video directly to the command and control center, allowing real-time coordination and situational awareness.

Advanced support for diverse emergency scenarios

The drone's design makes it highly effective in various complex environments, including high-rise buildings, industrial zones, areas with hazardous materials, dense crowds, and forested regions. Its deployment during Hajj provides significant advantages such as rapid response times, enhanced operational safety by minimising human risk, and improved decision-making through live aerial imaging and AI-supported analytics.
