World’s longest diamond necklace to debut at 55th WJMES

Sharjah 24: Exhibitors at the 55th Watch and Jewellery Middle East Show (WJMES), taking place from May 28 to June 1 at Expo Centre Sharjah, are set to unveil stunning collections of gold jewellery and diamonds. Among the highlights is an attempt to break a Guinness World Record with the world’s longest diamond necklace.

Organised by Expo Centre Sharjah and SCCI

The event is organised by Expo Centre Sharjah in collaboration with the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI). It provides a strategic platform for showcasing finely crafted jewellery and luxury timepieces and is regarded as one of the region’s largest and most prestigious gatherings for jewellery industry professionals.

Elite designers and global brands in attendance

This year’s edition will feature more than 500 exhibitors and over 1,800 elite designers, manufacturers, and experts from around the world. Attendees can expect a wide range of luxury gold jewellery, fine watches, and precious gemstones, including exclusive designs and new innovations from top-tier brands.

Guinness Record Attempt by Amaar Jewels

Amaar Jewels will present a groundbreaking 108-meter diamond necklace, crafted with over 600 lab-grown diamonds set in 18-karat rose gold. Designed to enter the Guinness World Records, the necklace will undergo official assessment on the event’s opening day.

Visitor numbers set to surge during Eid Al-Adha

With over 80,000 visitors expected, the show coincides with the Eid Al-Adha holiday, adding to its appeal. Guests will enjoy a premium shopping experience with competitive pricing on rare gold pieces, luxury watches, and signature diamond jewellery.

Global participation and new country debuts

The show will host exhibitors from countries such as the UAE, India, Italy, the UK, USA, Singapore, China, Japan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Lebanon. New participants this year include Russia, Mexico, Tanzania, and Egypt, further diversifying the global footprint of the event.

Exhibition timings

The exhibition will be open daily from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
