Group A features host nation Qatar and Tunisia, along with the winners of the Syria vs. South Sudan and Palestine vs. Libya qualifiers.
Group B includes Morocco and Saudi Arabia, in addition to the teams that will qualify from Oman vs. Somalia and Yemen vs. Comoros.
Group D consists of Algeria and Iraq, and will be completed by the winners of Bahrain vs. Djibouti and Lebanon vs. Sudan.
Seeding based on FIFA rankings
Before the draw, teams were seeded into four levels based on their FIFA rankings. Level 1 included host Qatar, defending champions Algeria, Morocco, and Egypt.
Level 2 featured Tunisia, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Jordan. The UAE was placed in Level 3, alongside 14 other teams, which will be reduced to seven through single-match qualifiers scheduled for November 25 and 26.
