Fujairah's strategic vision for global sports leadership

During the meeting, His Highness affirmed that Fujairah’s hosting of international championships in various sports, including taekwondo, is part of a strategic vision aimed at reinforcing its position as a global sports hub. He highlighted the importance of creating an inspiring environment that nurtures young local and international athletic talent.

Support from the Ruler of Fujairah

His Highness noted that such accomplishments would not have been possible without the support and direction of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah. He emphasized that significant resources have been allocated to ensure that sports events held in the emirate meet the highest international standards.

Recognising the role of the World Taekwondo Federation

The Crown Prince praised the pivotal role of the World Taekwondo Federation in promoting the sport and organising prestigious global competitions. He added that Fujairah’s continued success in hosting international sports events reflects its dedication to advancing the sports movement and establishing an ideal platform for elite competitions.

Dr Choue Chung-won expressed his sincere appreciation to the Crown Prince for his unwavering support of sports, especially taekwondo. He lauded Fujairah's commitment to the Federation’s goals and praised His Highness's humanitarian efforts in supporting refugees and athletes worldwide. He also highlighted the Crown Prince’s initiatives as a reflection of sport’s values in fostering development and human connection.
