Strengthening bilateral ties
During the meeting, the two top diplomats discussed the strong bilateral relations between the UAE and Pakistan and explored ways to further enhance cooperation across various sectors in support of mutual interests.
They also reviewed key issues concerning the strategic partnership between the two countries and examined opportunities for deeper collaboration in several vital areas.
Deep-rooted friendship and shared goals
Sheikh Abdullah emphasised the longstanding friendship between the UAE and Pakistan, highlighting their shared commitment to strengthening ties across sectors that align with both nations’ development goals.
He expressed his eagerness to work with Muhammad Ishaq Dar to further advance their distinguished relationship and conveyed his wishes for continued prosperity and progress for Pakistan and its people.
Signing of MoUs and agreement
The meeting concluded with the signing of two Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) and one agreement between the UAE and Pakistan.
Sheikh Abdullah and Ishaq Dar signed an MoU to establish a Joint Consular Affairs Committee. They also signed an agreement to enhance cultural cooperation between the two countries. In addition, both ministers witnessed the exchange of an MoU to establish a UAE-Pakistan Joint Business Council.
Business Council MoU exchange
The Joint Business Council MoU was exchanged by Saeed Mubarak Al Hajeri, Assistant Minister for Economic and Trade Affairs, and Atif Ikram Sheikh, President of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
