Hamdan bin Mohammed launches ‘MyDubai Communities’ platform

Sharjah 24 – WAM: His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, has officially launched the ‘MyDubai Communities’ platform, a digital initiative aimed at connecting citizens, residents, and visitors with the diverse activities in Dubai.

Strengthening community bonds

The platform enhances the fabric of Dubai’s society and builds on the #MyDubai initiative launched in 2014 to celebrate local experiences and culture. MyDubai Communities aims to foster tolerance and peaceful coexistence, reinforcing Dubai's identity as a desirable place to live and visit.

Accessible and inclusive platform

Available at mydubaicommunities.com and on social media, the platform seeks to unite various communities across culture, sports, wellness, and professional interests. It coincides with the UAE’s Year of Community, promoting collaboration and shared experiences among residents.

Connecting a diverse population

MyDubai Communities will connect individuals from different backgrounds within Dubai’s 3.85 million residents, offering access to around 100 interest-based groups. Users can explore communities that resonate with their passions, contributing to creativity and community bonds.

Vision for excellence

Sheikh Hamdan emphasized that Dubai’s success is not only defined by infrastructure but also by the strength of its community. He encouraged active participation in the platform to support Dubai's social vision.

Supporting Dubai’s social agenda

Helal Saeed Almarri from the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism stated that the platform represents Dubai’s commitment to fostering a sense of belonging and community engagement, aligning with the Dubai Social Agenda 33.
