Al Serkal's historic achievement
Rawdha Al Serkal, a prominent player on the UAE national chess team and at the Abu Dhabi Chess Club and Mind Games, was granted the title after winning the Arab Women's Championship at the Sharjah Cultural Chess Club in November. This milestone makes her the first Emirati and Gulf player to achieve the International Grandmaster title.
