Bayern Munich extends Joshua Kimmichs contract

Sharjah 24 – AFP: Bayern Munich has secured the services of international midfielder Joshua Kimmich with a four-year contract extension until the summer of 2029.

Kimmich, whose previous contract was set to expire this summer, stated that Bayern Munich offers the perfect environment for him to achieve his sporting goals. He expressed confidence in the team, coaching staff, and club environment, saying, “There is currently no better team than my teammates, the coaching staff, and the club’s environment to maximize my success.”

Kimmich’s strong performance under Kompany

After rumors about a potential departure in recent seasons, Kimmich has found his best form again in midfield, playing every minute of the Bundesliga season until a minor injury in February. He made his decision public following Bayern's 2-0 win over Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League, which secured their spot in the quarter-finals.

A key player for Bayern’s future

Kimmich, who also captains the German national team, is seen as the potential successor to Bayern captain Manuel Neuer. Sporting director Christoph Freund praised Kimmich as a "pioneering force" who will continue to drive the club’s future success.
