NCM: UAE to experience weather changes from Saturday to Wednesday

Sharjah 24 – WAM: The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has predicted that the UAE will be affected by an extension of low pressure from the south-west, followed by an extension of surface high pressure from the west, along with a cold air mass from Saturday, 22nd February to Wednesday, 26th February 2025.

Saturday and Sunday: Increased temperatures and south-easterly winds

On Saturday and Sunday, south-easterly winds will lead to an increase in temperatures across the country.

Monday to Wednesday: Significant temperature drop and active winds

From Monday to Wednesday, temperatures are expected to drop significantly, particularly along the coasts and in western regions. Active and sometimes strong north-westerly winds will occur, especially on the sea. There may also be reduced horizontal visibility due to dust and sand. Light to moderate rain may fall in coastal, northern, and eastern areas from Monday evening to Tuesday.

Sea conditions: Turbulent waters expected

Sea conditions will remain light to medium on Saturday and Sunday in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman. However, from Monday, the seas will become gradually turbulent, with very turbulent conditions expected at times in the Arabian Gulf and turbulent conditions in the Sea of Oman.
