Mansour bin Zayed, Turkmenistan President discuss bilateral ties

Sharjah 24 – WAM: His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, met Friday in Ashgabat with President Serdar Berdimuhamedov of Turkmenistan.

Strengthening UAE-Turkmenistan relations

During the meeting, Sheikh Mansour conveyed the greetings of UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to President Berdimuhamedov, wishing continued progress for Turkmenistan and its people. Sheikh Mansour emphasized the deep-rooted historical ties between the two nations and their commitment to enhancing cooperation across various sectors to strengthen bilateral relations.

Expanding bilateral cooperation

The discussions covered ways to expand cooperation in different fields for mutual benefit, alongside views on regional and international matters of common interest.

Invitation to International Forum for Peace and Trust

Sheikh Mansour also received an official invitation from President Berdimuhamedov for UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed to attend the International Forum for Peace and Trust in December 2025.

Warm reception upon arrival

Earlier today, Friday, upon his arrival in Turkmenistan, Sheikh Mansour was warmly received by Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the National Leader of the Turkmen people.
