Overseen by the Department of Community Development (DCD), the hub serves as a model for integrated community centers in alignment with the UAE’s Year of Community initiative declared by President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for 2025.
During the visit, His Highneess Sheikh Khaled toured various facilities and received briefings on key initiatives such as Majlisna by the Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority, aimed at reviving traditional Emirati gatherings. He also reviewed community recreational projects by the Department of Municipalities and Transport and the Abu Dhabi Gaming initiative by the Department of Culture and Tourism.
Sheikh Khaled emphasised the importance of expanding such community hubs across Abu Dhabi to enhance social wellbeing, provide diverse programs, and create spaces that promote social cohesion. He highlighted the role of these hubs in supporting sustainable community development and fostering social connections.
The Nabdh Al Falah hub offers over 145 programs in collaboration with 38 entities, covering fields like social support, sports and wellbeing, learning, skill development, and culture. These programs aim to cater to all community members, including children, youth, families, and senior citizens.
Dr Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, Chairman of DCD, praised the hub as a significant step toward promoting social participation and community cohesion. The hub embodies the leadership’s vision to foster a connected and inclusive society, in line with the Year of Community initiative.
Mohamed Helal Al Balooshi, Executive Director of the Community Engagement and Sports Sector at DCD, spoke about the role of these hubs in strengthening Abu Dhabi’s social sector and ensuring a connected society. The hub is designed to serve families and youth, offering multi-use spaces for events, workshops, and sports activities.
