Sharjah 24 – WAM: The General Pension and Social Security Authority (GPSSA) has emphasised that registering with the authority is the first step to accessing insurance benefits guaranteed by law, along with other government support programs like NAFIS.

Registration process for Emirati employees

Emirati employees must register on the Ma’ashi digital platform to access pension and social security benefits. This platform allows users to access services using UAE Pass.

Eligibility and registration requirements

Employees must be between 18 and 60 years old, provide a medical clearance certificate from a UAE-based government hospital, and be registered within 30 days of employment. These rules apply to both Emiratis and GCC nationals.

Compliance for Employers and Employees

Employers must ensure timely registration and contributions, while employees must verify their registration. Non-registered employees should contact GPSSA to secure their insurance rights.

GPSSA's role and resources for registration

For detailed information on registration, compliance, and insurance, employers, employees, pensioners, and beneficiaries can visit the Ma’ashi platform.
