UAE President, Mohammed bin Rashid welcome guests of WGS 2025

Sharjah 24 – WAM: President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, have welcomed the guests of the World Governments Summit (WGS) 2025, which begins on February 11 in Dubai.

Global participation in WGS 2025

More than 30 heads of state and government are participating in the three-day WGS 2025, bringing together 140 governments, over 80 international and regional organisations, and global institutions, as well as more than 6,000 participants, including thought leaders and global experts.

UAE’s commitment to global cooperation

President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan emphasized the UAE’s dedication to strengthening international cooperation to serve the developmental goals of societies worldwide. He highlighted the importance of shared visions for peace, stability, and balanced development in ensuring global prosperity.

A Platform for addressing global challenges

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed stated that the summit provides a critical platform for world leaders to engage in dialogue and find collaborative solutions to major global challenges. He called for unified global action to harness historical transformations for sustainable and equitable development.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum emphasised the UAE’s pivotal role in fostering constructive global dialogue. He underlined that the World Governments Summit serves as a crucial space for shaping the future and addressing the rapid changes and transformations occurring globally.
