Abdullah bin Zayed, IMF Chief discuss global economy at WGS

Sharjah 24 – WAM: His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, met today with Kristalina Georgieva, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), on the sidelines of the World Governments Summit 2025 in Dubai, which runs until 13th February under the theme "Shaping Future Governments."

Discussion on UAE-IMF cooperation and global economic landscape

During the meeting, Sheikh Abdullah welcomed Kristalina Georgieva and discussed various topics related to UAE-IMF cooperation. They also addressed the global economic landscape and ways to enhance international efforts toward establishing a sustainable global economic system.

Emphasising innovative solutions and sustainable development

The meeting underscored the importance of adopting innovative solutions to address both regional and global challenges, promoting global economic growth, and supporting sustainable development initiatives in communities.
