Sharjah 24 – WAM: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has expressed its strong condemnation of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's provocative statements regarding the establishment of a Palestinian state in Saudi Arabia. The UAE rejected these comments as a violation of international law and the United Nations Charter.

UAE's solidarity with Saudi Arabia

Khalifa Bin Shaheen Al Marar, Minister of State, emphasized the UAE’s full solidarity with Saudi Arabia, reaffirming its commitment to the Kingdom’s security, stability, and sovereignty. He stated that Saudi Arabia's sovereignty is an inviolable 'red line' that should not be undermined.

Rejection of infringements on Palestinian rights

The UAE also reiterated its categorical rejection of any violations of Palestinian rights, stressing the importance of halting settlement activities that threaten regional stability and peace. The UAE remains firm in its support for Palestinians’ unalienable rights and their right to a homeland.

Call for international action

The minister called on the international community, the United Nations, and the UN Security Council to act in ending illegal practices that violate international law.

Support for a two-state solution

Khalifa Shaheen reaffirmed the UAE’s long-standing position in safeguarding Palestinian rights and stressed the importance of finding a serious political resolution to the conflict. The UAE believes regional stability can only be achieved through the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, as part of a two-state solution.
