Mohamed Salah continued his sensational season, scoring both goals. He opened the scoring with a penalty in the 30th minute and sealed the win with an exquisite goal in the 75th minute. Salah's brace took his league tally to 21 goals this season.
Bournemouth, who remain in seventh place, had their chances but hit the woodwork twice. Antoine Semenyo struck the post when the score was 0-0, and Marcus Tavernier did the same just before Salah wrapped up the points for Liverpool.
Liverpool now sit on 56 points from 23 games, nine points ahead of second-placed Arsenal and Nottingham Forest, who have 47. Arsenal will face Manchester City, who are fourth with 41 points, on Sunday.
