Sharjah 24: Abu Bakr Al Kindi, General Coordinator of the 22nd Sharjah Heritage Days, shared details about the new edition of the event, highlighting the participation of 26 countries and 46 supporting and sponsoring government entities. This year’s edition will feature an array of activities and programmes spread across the event's days.

1,100 artistic performances and diverse cultural programmes

The event will present over 1,100 performances, including folk and musical acts, from 35 local, Arab, and international bands. These performances will be displayed across various platforms in the event square. Additionally, the festival will host a range of traditional craft activities, folk games, and the international school of storytelling.

Environments and Arshan Programmes

Al Kindi also introduced the “Environments Programme,” showcasing different cultural settings, including mountainous, agricultural, Bedouin, and coastal environments. The “Arshan” programme will feature four distinct arbors focusing on traditional life, such as men’s councils, family life in the past, popular beliefs, and craftsmanship.

Workshops, children’s activities, and theatre

More than 150 craftsmen from across the world will participate in 33 craft workshops. A designated area for popular games will offer fun activities and tournaments for children, as well as a creative corner for young artists. The Palm Operetta at Al-Ayyam Theatre will highlight the unity between leadership and the people, commemorating the nation’s journey.

Intellectual and cultural programmes

Sharjah Heritage Days will also feature an intellectual programme, including the launch of new books, a library with 1,001 titles, and 14 lectures at the Cultural Café. Al Kindi encouraged the public to participate in this exceptional cultural celebration.
