UAE President congratulates Joseph Aoun on Lebanon presidency

Sharjah 24 – WAM: President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan congratulated His Excellency Joseph Aoun on his election as President of Lebanon during a phone call.

His Highness wished Aoun success in leading Lebanon and fulfilling the aspirations of its people for development and stability.

Strengthening bilateral ties

During the call, both leaders discussed ways to strengthen cooperation between the UAE and Lebanon. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed expressed the UAE’s commitment to supporting Lebanon's security, stability, and the aspirations of its people. The leaders also agreed on steps to reopen the UAE Embassy in Beirut, signaling a new phase of bilateral relations.

President Joseph Aoun expressed his gratitude for the UAE’s support and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed’s warm congratulations. Aoun reiterated his commitment to further strengthening the ties between the two nations in the coming phase.
