Small aircraft crash in Northwestern Colombia claims 10 lives

Sharjah 24 – WAM: At least 10 people were killed in a small aircraft crash in northwestern Colombia, authorities confirmed on Friday, as reported by Xinhua.

Crash details

The plane, operated by Pacifica Travel, was reported missing on Wednesday while traveling from Jurado to Medellin. It crashed in a rural area of Urrao, a municipality in the Antioquia department in northwest Colombia. The aircraft had two crew members and eight passengers on board.

No survivors and ongoing recovery efforts

Carlos Rios Puerta, director of Antioquia's risk management department, stated, "Unfortunately, there are no survivors. We have 37 personnel working at the site, and we are expediting the second stage, which involves recovering the bodies and coordinating with judicial police."
