Sharjah24 - WAM: According to the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ), an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.5 occurred early on Saturday in Ethiopia, east of the capital Addis Ababa.

GFZ Reports Shallow Quake at 10 km Depth

GFZ indicated that the earthquake was shallow, measuring at a depth of 10 km (6.2 miles). The region has experienced a series of minor quakes since a nearby volcano began exhibiting signs of imminent eruption at the start of the year.
