Sharjah24: The Sharjah Government Media Bureau successfully wrapped up yesterday the fourth edition of the immensely popular 4-day Sharjah Events Festival at Al Majaz Amphitheatre in Sharjah.
The Sharjah Events Festival, held under the slogan ‘SeeSharjah’ from December 12 to 15, attracted more than 30,000 visitors who enjoyed the spectacular bouquet of fun and games and activities targeting all age groups and family members.
Festival visitors this year have had the opportunity to enjoy and experience a host of forest adventures and as many as 52 activities, including thrilling contests, challenges, games, carnival shows and live theatrical performances. The festival recreated the magical atmosphere of forest and nature combining learning with fun.
The challenges included games and contests such as land rowing, treasure hunting and the balance chair, in addition to various puppet and balloon shows, interactive games, workshops, and an interactive dome that reflected the natural environment of a forest.
The live show ‘Masha and the Bear,’ presented twice daily, had been a major attraction, wowing both young and old and enhancing the festival's fun spirit.
The festival also saw the launch of the Sharjah Events Agenda 2025 by His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Media Council, showcasing the various activities and events that will be organised during the coming months by various government and private entities in the emirate. As many as 24 government organisations and private entities participated in and contributed to the success of the fourth Sharjah Events Festival. The festival partners enhanced the whole experience by presenting and disseminating positive and purposeful awareness messages about various sectors in a way that suits different age groups and communities.
Tariq Saeed Allay, Director General of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau, said that the rich agenda and diverse activities that the Sharjah Events Festival offered combined entertainment and knowledge and aspirations of the emirate.
The festival is in line with Sharjah's distinguished identity consolidating the emirate's position as a complete and diverse tourist, cultural and entertainment destination, added Allay.
The SGMB Director General pointed out that the strong participation by government and private entities has contributed to the success of the Sharjah Events Festival over the past four years and enhanced the diversity of its purposeful messages, especially in light of the tremendous popularity it enjoys in the public establishing it as one of the most prominent annual events for family entertainment.
