Sharjah24 - WAM: The organising Committee of the 26th Gulf Cup football tournament has said that the training stadiums for the tournament to be hosted by Kuwait from 21st December to 3rd January are prepared for the event.
In a press statement, Tariq al-Kandari, an official of the Arab Gulf Cup Football Federation (AGCFF) and a member of the higher organising committee of the tournament, said official games would be held on Jaber and Jaber Al-Mubarak stadiums, which are fully ready for the championship.
All maintenance work has been carried out at all stadiums, and the Jaber Mubarak facility is one of the modernist stadiums designed in accordance with European standards, he noted.
Security, transportation and emergency plans have been set for the championship, he added.
The event has two groups: Group A, which includes Qatar, alongside hosts Kuwait, the UAE, and Oman, and Group B, which comprises Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Yemen.
