Sharjah 24: Engineer Sheikh Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi has been re-elected as President of the Asian Fencing Confederation (FCA) for a second consecutive term (2024-2028) after winning unanimously in the elections held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
The election saw representatives from 37 countries endorse Sheikh Salem, appreciating his leadership in expanding the Federation’s reach.
Sheikh Salem dedicated his victory to the UAE’s wise leadership for their unwavering support of the country's people, particularly in sports. He expressed gratitude to the Asian Fencing Federation's General Assembly for their confidence and promised continued growth and development of fencing across the continent, thanking the General Authority for Sports and the National Olympic Committee for their ongoing support of UAE fencing.
