Sharjah 24: The Islamic World Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organisation (ICESCO), through its Regional Office in Sharjah, participated in the Makkah Entrepreneurship Forum in Saudi Arabia, delivering a keynote speech and joining a panel discussion on "Future Trends of Entrepreneurship."
The forum serves as a key platform for exploring entrepreneurial innovations within the Islamic world, supporting entrepreneurs by providing essential tools and knowledge to address challenges and create impactful projects.

During the session, His Excellency Salem Omar Salem, Director of ICESCO’s Regional Office, emphasized the importance of fostering innovation through strategic partnerships between government and private sectors. He highlighted how these collaborations can drive sustainability in entrepreneurial projects and economic development in Islamic countries.

Salem further stressed the potential of investing in start-ups, especially in technical and creative sectors, as a pathway to building a sustainable future. He also addressed the role of artificial intelligence in reshaping entrepreneurial strategies, noting the importance of adapting to technological advancements and enhancing digital skills among entrepreneurs. Additionally, Salem discussed the significance of understanding Generation Z’s needs and expectations, urging entrepreneurs to align their offerings with this informed and conscious demographic.

The forum concluded with recommendations to invest in technology and innovation, with ICESCO playing a central role in empowering entrepreneurs and fostering regional and international partnerships to ensure long-term economic growth in the Islamic world.
