Major General Ali Abdullah bin Alwan Al Nuaimi, Commander-in-Chief of Ras Al Khaimah Police, commended the diligence of the police personnel that led to the swift arrest of the masked thief. He reiterated the commitment of Ras Al Khaimah Police to ensure the security and safety of the community and protect citizens' property.
Brigadier Dr. Tariq Mohammed bin Saif, Director General of Police Operations, noted that authorities received multiple reports about the masked individual stealing from vehicles, with videos and images of the thefts circulating on social media. A specialised team was formed to gather evidence and track down the suspect, ultimately leading to his identification and arrest, along with the recovery of the stolen items.
The suspect confessed to his crimes during police questioning and will be referred to Public Prosecution for legal action.
Additionally, a person who distributed the clips and photos of the stolen vehicles has also been arrested and will face similar legal proceedings. Authorities urge the public to refrain from sharing such content, as it can hinder investigations and allow suspects to evade capture.
