Sharjah24: The Sharjah Sports Council (SSC) , in cooperation with the Sharjah Police General Command - Drug Enforcement Administration, has launched a number of awareness workshops for players in the age groups of 16 and 18 on "the dangers of drugs and their impact on humans," during the evening period. These workshops come as part of the council's commitment to enhancing societal awareness among young players about the health and social risks associated with drug use, contributing to the building of a conscious generation capable of facing challenges.
The workshops began at Kalba Sports and Cultural Club, where Captain Khaled Mohammed Al Zaabi from the Drug Enforcement Department of Sharjah Police delivered a lecture. The workshop at Al Hamriyah Sports and Cultural Club was presented by Captain Walid Ismail Al Zarouni, an officer from the Awareness and Follow-up Branch of Sharjah Police. The third workshop at Mleiha Sports and Cultural Club was conducted by Lieutenant Khaled Ali Mohammed from the Drug Enforcement Department of Sharjah Police, attended by Ibrahim Saif Bin Ghafan, Head of the Professional Department at the Sports Affairs and Development Management of the Council.
The workshops will continue sequentially next week at Sharjah clubs for self-defense sports, Khorfakkan, Al Batayeh, Sharjah Sports Club, Dibba Al-Hisn, and Al Dhaid.
