Sharjah24: Tarek Abou El Fotouh, the Senior Curator and Director of the Performing Arts Department at Sharjah Art Foundation, has announced the launch of the third season of "Perform Sharjah." This season will feature the participation of 7 international shows and will run until January 5th.
Abou El Fotouh explained that Perform Sharjah is a program showcasing live performances that has been rooted in the city of Sharjah since its inception. He emphasized that the shows feature the newest productions in performing arts from both the region and the world, with a strong emphasis on Arab theater.

He mentioned to “Sharjah 24” that the new season is set to kick off next Sunday with the performance of “Mute”, a play by Kuwaiti director Sulayman Al Bassam. The play, which clinched top honors at major Arab festivals last year, will be showcased at the Sharjah Academy for Performing Arts. Additionally, a large floating platform will be set up at Sharjah Port in front of the Obaid Al Shamsi Heritage House in collaboration with the Sharjah Ports Authority. This platform will host a series of short individual performances over a 5-hour span on December 20, 21, and 22.

According to Abou El Fotouh, the play "A Writer on Honeymoon" will conclude the third season of Sharjah shows on January 4 and 5. It is directed by Ahmed Al Attar and features the renowned Egyptian actor Sayed Rajab. Although the play dates back to the seventies, it offers a contemporary reinterpretation.
