Manchester loses efforts of defender Maguire for several weeks

Maguire left the field at the end of the first half of the match in which Manchester United drew with Aston Villa last Sunday.

Maguire wrote on his Instagram account: "Frustrated to pick up an injury at the weekend, will do everything I can to get back out on the pitch ASAP. I'll be back stronger."

The 31-year-old Maguire participated in only his third match of the current season of the Premier League, having come off the bench against Porto in the Europa League last week, scoring the equalizing goal in the final minutes.

Maguire left the England national team camp under interim coach Lee Carsley before the matches against Greece and Finland in the UEFA Nations League.
