Sharjah24: Chelsea English team dominated their guest Gent Belgian team 4-2, in the first round of the league stage of the UEFA Conference League football tournament.
Chelsea took the lead in the 12th minute through Renato Viga, before his teammate Pedro Neto added the second goal in the 46th minute.
In the 50th minute, Gent scored their first goal through Tushy Watanabe, but Christopher Nkunku returned to score the third goal for Chelsea in the 63rd minute, and his teammate Kieran Desbury Hall added the fourth goal in the 70th minute.
The Belgian team scored their second goal in the final minute of the second half through Amari Gandilman.
In another match in the same round, Italian team Fiorentina defeated Welsh team New Saints 2-0.
The Italian team waited until the 56th minute to score the opening goal through Yassin Adli, and his teammate Moise Kean added the second goal four minutes later.
In the rest of the matches, Swiss team Lugano defeated HJK Helsinki from Finland 3-0, and Cypriot team Paphos beat Petrolul Romanian team 4-1. Meanwhile, Shamrock Rovers from Ireland drew with APOEL Cypriot team 1-1, the same result as the matches between Borac Bosnian team and Panathinaikos Greek team, and Copenhagen Danish team and Jagiellonia Polish team, while LASK Austrian team drew with Djurgarden Swedish team 2-2.
