Sharjah 24: Khalid Jassim Al Midfa, Chairman of the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, emphasised the importance of fostering relationships with both public and private sector partners, stating that the "Tawasul" meeting for the 2024 hotel sector in Sharjah plays a crucial role in enhancing this vital industry.
In a statement to Sharjah 24, Al Midfa highlighted the Authority's commitment to strengthening collaborations that benefit both the emirate's economy and the interests of institutions operating within the tourism sector.

He noted, "We recently held the 2024 Tawasul meeting for the hotel sector, attended by over 150 representatives and officials at the Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park. During this meeting, we outlined future plans and promising opportunities in the emirate, as well as key development initiatives spearheaded by His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, including significant projects across the city and the central and eastern regions, as well as major infrastructure developments like the expansion of Sharjah International Airport, which is vital for tourism."

Al Midfa added that the meeting focused on the ongoing organisation of the tourism sector and enhancing the visitor experience in Sharjah through collaborative efforts. "We presented various ideas, plans, projects, and legislation supported by the Government of Sharjah, aiming for mutual benefit," he said, wishing success and prosperity to all our partners.
