The Brazilian then netted the third goal himself in the 78th minute.
Kylian Mbappé capped off Real Madrid's scoring with a penalty in the 90th minute.
With this win, Real Madrid now has 14 points, sitting in second place in the standings, while Espanyol suffered their third defeat of the season, remaining at seven points in 13th place.
