Sharjah 24 – WAM: The International Charity Organisation has launched its 2024 campaign, "Orphans and Healthcare," aiming to sponsor an additional 5,000 orphans and provide healthcare support to families, orphans, and their mothers.
This initiative aligns with the organisation's ongoing commitment to improving the lives of orphans, particularly in underprivileged communities.
Dr. Khalid Al Khaja, Secretary-General of the organisation, highlighted that the organisation's efforts have so far resulted in sponsoring over 62,000 orphans within and outside the UAE.
"The success stories of our sponsored orphans reflect the values of compassion and generosity we strive to instil, making them role models and a source of pride for their communities," he added.
Al Khaja explained that the organisation has conducted field visits to several countries to assess the needs of orphans and patients. Critical cases have been identified, including those with rare diseases like spinal muscular atrophy and kidney failure.
The campaign encompasses various projects, including constructing and equipping healthcare centres in impoverished nations and providing essential medical supplies like oxygen devices and kidney dialysis machines. Additionally, the organisation sponsors patients in need and undertakes other vital initiatives to improve the health and well-being of vulnerable communities.
