Sharjah 24 – AFP: Juventus were held to a goalless draw by Empoli in Serie A on Saturday, just days before their Champions League return. Meanwhile, Bologna salvaged a 2-2 draw at Como after trailing by two goals.
Juventus struggled to create chances, with Dusan Vlahovic's best effort saved by Empoli's Deviz Vasquez. Federico Gatti made a crucial clearance in stoppage time to prevent a potential winning goal by Emmanuel Gyasi. Juventus will host PSV Eindhoven on Tuesday as they return to European competition following a UEFA ban.

Bologna, making their debut in the revamped Champions League, secured a late equalizer through Samuel Iling-Junior in stoppage time at Como. The draw means Bologna has three points from their first four matches. Como, playing their first home game in 21 years, had taken the lead with goals from Patrick Cutrone and Nicolo Casale but were ultimately denied a win.

Later, AC Milan will face Venezia as they prepare for their Champions League clash with Liverpool.
