Sharjah 24: Moza Handhal, Head of the Programmes and Events Department at the Sharjah Book Authority (SBA) in the Eastern Region, emphasised the Authority's dedication to fostering a reading and writing culture through events featuring leading writers and intellectuals.
Organised on Thursday at the Resistance Monument, under the theme "From Reader to Writer," the event featured Dr. Khalid Al Shehhi, Director of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage in Khorfakkan, who shared insights into his writing career and publications.
Handhal highlighted the session's goal of promoting reading and writing. She emphasised the Authority's commitment to cultural enrichment through a range of literary and artistic events across the Eastern Region.
She told "Sharjah 24" that the department is committed to organising events aimed at promoting a culture of reading and writing across different segments of society. She added that the Authority's programmes are ongoing, covering various cities in the Eastern Region and offering a range of cultural, artistic, and literary events.
