Sharjah24: This Friday morning, September 6, the first competitions of the "Diwan of the President's Emblem" race commenced at Al Dhaid Camel Racing Track, under the supervision and organisation of the Sharjah Camel Racing Club.
The event featured 18 races for the "Haqayeq" category of camels owned by members of local tribes, covering a distance of 2 kilometres. The races attracted a large number of camel owners from the UAE and other GCC countries.
The top positions in the race were as follows:
- First race: Shaheen, owned by Abdullah Salem Al Khasouni Al Ketbi.
- Second race: Sayyaf, owned by Mohammed Saeed Mohammed Al Ketbi.
- Third race: Tamweel, owned by Tarish Ali Bakhit Al Musafri.
- Fourth race: Al Ghazal, owned by Khalifa Salem Matar Al Rashidi, with a time of 2:55:00 (best time).
- Fifth race: Al Saddawiya, owned by Musleh Saeed Al Mansoori.
- Sixth race: Burkan, owned by Mohammed Rashid Abdullah Hamid Al Khatri.
- Seventh race: U’jooba, owned by Suleiman Ali Saeed Al Ketbi.
- Eighth race: Al Dhabi, owned by Salem Saeed Al Khasouni Al Ketbi.
- Ninth race: Shaheen, owned by Abdullah Salem Al Khasouni Al Ketbi.
- Tenth race: Hams, owned by Mohammed Salem Al Qaidi.
- Eleventh race: Nawader, owned by Saeed Ali Al Miyalah Al Ketbi.
- Twelfth race: Jabr, owned by Saeed Mubarak Al Ketbi.
- Thirteenth race: Al Naira, owned by Abdullah Mohammed Al Zaabi.
- Fourteenth race: Mughader, owned by Shehab Al Nuaimi.
- Fifteenth race: Seyouf, owned by Rashid Al Miyalah Al Ketbi.
- Sixteenth race: Mablash, owned by Mubarak Al Jazai’i Al Ketbi.
- Seventeenth race: Shindarah, owned by Hamed Obaid Al Tanaiji.
- Eighteenth race: Cafo, owned by Mohammed Awadh Al Ketbi.
His Excellency Abdullah Mohammed bin Mu’ded bin Huwaiden Al Ketbi, Chairman of the Sharjah Camel Racing Club, confirmed that the first competitions of the "Diwan of the President's Emblem" race at Al Dhaid Camel Racing Track saw the outstanding performance of many well-known camel racing teams from the local tribes. The races were fiercely competitive, with participants vying for top honours and ensuring the readiness of their camels for major upcoming races.
