Sharjah 24: Nadia Al Qattan, Head of the Volunteer Department at the Emirates Red Crescent Authority (ERC) in Sharjah, reported that the authority’s Sharjah Branch, organised the annual meeting for volunteers with the aim of discussing humanitarian and charitable efforts and advancing volunteer work in various areas and fields related to humanitarian programmes and projects.
This comes with the participation of 123 volunteers and members of the branch who participated in this year’s Ramadan campaign.
She added that volunteer work is a noble humanitarian work. Saying “We extend our thanks and appreciation to all teams for their efforts and dedication to charitable work, calling on all university and college students and government department employees to participate in the authority’s various activities and joining by registering on its official website.”
She indicated that the number of volunteers in the Sharjah branch has reached approximately 2,500 volunteers of various nationalities residing in the country.
