Sharjah24 - WAM: An earthquake of magnitude 5.7 struck the Panama-Costa Rica border region on Monday, Reuters reported, citing the United States Geological Survey (USGS).
The quake was at a depth of 3 km (1.9 miles), according to USGS data, and its epicentre was located about 5 km (3.1 miles) southeast of the town of Puerto Armuelles, in the Panamanian region of Chiriqui that stands in the border with Costa Rica.
Local authorities from the two Central American nations did not immediately report any damages.
