Sharjah 24: As part of its community activities during this year's summer season, the Sharjah Institute for Heritage (SIH) continues to organise events and programmes for the third edition of the "Summer Narrator Camp" in Sharjah in July, in collaboration with the Al Suyoh and Al Rahmaniya District Councils.
The Arab Heritage Centre of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage (SIH) is organising the camp, which will include a variety of workshops and beneficial events in the morning provided by a group of trainers and specialists in national and local heritage. Children of both genders, particularly those aged 8 to 12 years, are the target audience for the activities.
Dr Abdulaziz Al Musallam, Chairman of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage (SIH), remarked that the institute is eager to improve the lives of the younger generation and youngsters throughout the summer holiday season by deepening their connection to Emirati culture and identity.
Innovative events and beneficial and diverse activities in a variety of sectors help to raise community knowledge of our folk history, inspiring values, and authentic legacy.
Aisha Al-Hussan Al-Shamsi, Director of the Arab Heritage Centre, stated that the third edition of the Summer Narrator Camp will include a variety of workshops, courses, and exciting activities that will benefit and enrich the children's experiences in the Al Al Suyoh and Al Rahmaniya districts.
The activities include leadership development, creative reading and writing, Arabic calligraphy, and specialised workshops in arts, crafts, and local heritage sports.
