Sharjah 24 – WAM: The Sharjah Agricultural and Livestock Production EST “Ektifa”, under the Sharjah Department of Agriculture and Livestock, announced that “Mleiha Dairy” will be available in markets by late July or by August 1, with a production capacity of 3.5 tons of milk per day, expected to reach 33 tons per day by December.
Dr. Khalifa bin Musabih Al Tunaiji, CEO of “Ektifa”, stated, “We have partnered with 'Watania' in Al Ain to produce milk for the markets until our factories are ready in April 2025, at which point we will also offer other dairy products.”

Al Tunaiji noted that the department is working to expand the Mleiha Dairy Farm herd following directives from His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. The herd currently stands at 1,150 heads and will reach 2,500 heads with a new batch of cows arriving from Denmark in October.

He also mentioned that Mleiha Farm has obtained organic production certification and all necessary licenses in collaboration with the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, meeting the stringent requirements for nutrition sources, feed, and health standards.
